Hey all, I am 9 days in now and feeling great. First 6-7 days were rough. I felt pretty hungry every day, but now have gotten the stomach shrunk enough to get through the day with out wanting to eat my own arm. Diet has stayed the same, but let me tell you this. Have some variety in your diet and meal choices. I tried eating chicken and steak with salad most days for lunch. Chicken gets very boring very fast!! haha. Look up some healthy recipes using turkey (meatloaf etc) I have avoided most carbs at night. Remember that carbs turn to sugar and sugar turns to fat!! Ready for the numbers? well after 8 days of exercise I weighed in this morning at 168.1lbs. Loosing close to a pound a day which is a little fast, but now it slowing down. Been changing up my work outs also. I have been doing my 3 mile runs most days. On the days I don't I end up usually doing the elliptical trainer at the gym. Usually for about a half hour or a bit longer based on energy. Ill check back in soon with you all. Thanks for reasing.
Day 5. Feeling tired. Loosing weight a little too quickly on this diet. I am down to 170.5 this morning. If you are curious what i have been eating thus far, i have been eating approximately 4-5 times a day actually. Smaller meals consisting of cliff bars or cereal for breakfast. Naked fruit juices through out the morning, apple around 10 am every day, lunch has been turkey sandwiches 2 of the days, some chicken and potatoes the other 2, snacks of beef jerky, pretzels, almonds, and coffee here or there to curb the hunger. If you are going to do the coffee make sure milk is low or fat free and minimal sugar. I personally need to increase my carb intake. Carbohydrates are where your energy is coming from. A low or no carb diet = not much energy. Hint to all, potassium gives a lot of energy. Use coconut water for a great energy boost for exercising. It has 2 times the amount per serving than bananas. Heading out for my run again today. I missed out yesterday due to forgetting gym clothing at work, then coming home to poring rain. So i decided to try a work out video thinking it would be a pathetic work out, but still burn some calories. Turned out to be pretty tough and got my heart rate up there for 40 minutes. I probably burned the same number of calories as i would have during a 3 -4 mile run. Not bad...
Day 2 and I am quite hungry. Other than that I'm doing well. Lost about 1.5 lbs all ready. Some of it water weight I'm sure, but its nice to see the drop. I will be checking back in probably Sunday to tell you where I am at. Diet so far is consisting of cliff bars, beef jerky, fruit, chicken breast, vegetables, water, and some fruit juices. If anyone else is attempting this, a good snack to have is almonds. They are fantastic help in weight loss.
